Gaming Installation

On December 8th, I participated in the Alfred State Game Installation. We were put into groups and had a limited to time to create a game. Our group teamed up with members of the engineering department to create a game based off of a fan coolant system on a circuit board.

Our game consisted a ball or in this case, a heat particle which would fall from the top of the screen. The player could then use the mouse to rotate the fans to send the ball into a different slot. The number of the slot determined the prize the player would win, in this case the prize was gummy bears.

Player reception was positive, as the game was simple enough for the average passer-by to understand and the carnivalesque prize system kept the player coming back for more.
