Link to Final Portfolio
To Whom it May Concern,
My name is Matt Delorme and I am writing to you today to submit my resume for consideration on your animation team. As an animator with more than five years of experience in the field, I am very interested in opportunities to bring that experience and growth to this company.
With six years of experience of skills in Digital Media, utilized with a variety of different programs, ranging from the Adobe suite to Autodesk software, I know I can bring a strong, creative presence. Since graduating with a B.S. in Digital Media and Animation from Alfred State College in 2018, I have built my portfolio with a variety of work that I have created throughout my career. Most recently, as an editor and animator for the Alfred State Health and Wellness Department, my work has been used as informational videos to reach out to incoming students. While my time at Alfred State has been a valuable experience, I’m ready to move on and grow into a position that offers more opportunity to hone my skills as an animator and artist. Based on this company’s commitment to create new and exciting media, I believe my skills and background blend well with that mission.
I look forward to talking with you about my qualifications, and potential opportunities with this company. I am attaching my resume, and have a portfolio and demo reel available at http://www.portfoliobox.net/mattdelorme. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach me at email@example.com. Thank you for your time and consideration!
Throughout my time in and out of college, I have learned and experienced much and have incorporated these lessons into my work. These pieces are a reflection of the experiences and lessons I have learned.
In the piece “It’s Okay” the first lesson that not everything can go the way we want it to, that sometimes the world just doesn’t make sense and it can feel like it is ending. But just because things are not good, and won’t necessarily get better; it does not mean it is the end and it is okay that things are the way they are. Sometimes you have to try to find a positive in amongst all the negativity that is going on. The second lesson I learned present in the piece “Corn Poodles” goes to show that you will not always be rewarded for what you do. Sometimes there is not always a pay off, but that does not mean you stop or give up. If you do not reach your goal, set a new one and always keep striving towards it.
As life continues and my experience grows, my pieces will reflect that growth.
